This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Isaiah 60:22 (NLT)
Today I am thinking about God’s appointed time. Recently I was talking about how a significant point in a person’s life is when they discover how God wants them to serve Him.
My struggle with this has always been two-fold: first, I want to know the what. “What is my work in this life for You? How will I ultimately serve You?” Second, I want to know when. “When, Father, will my life’s purpose unfold?”
The short answer is that it will all be revealed and will unfold at God’s appointed time. Jesus, however, inspires us even further in Luke Chapter 4. Jesus is in a synagogue where He is reading from a scroll that Isaiah had prophesied about and written hundreds of years earlier.
Isaiah prophesied that Jesus would one day say those very words he had written on that scroll.
After Jesus had read the passage out loud in the synagogue from the scroll He told the people listening, in Luke 4:21 – “This Scripture has come true before your very eyes.”
This is the kind of God we serve.
Personally, I can go back to my old journals where I have all sorts of prayer requests and see that prayers were answered but at God’s appointed time.
The Words that I use to inspire me are, “At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” Isaiah 60:22 (NLT)
Please share this reflection, because others desire to be inspired.
So today, you may not know when it will happen but you know Who will make it happen. And that’s all you need to know.

So true and such a valuable reminder! He owns the what, when, and the how and it is on us to thank Him for the miracle even before we experience it. A perfect message for me as I prepare for this day!
