This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Job 34:21 (ESV)
Today I am appreciating how God has His Hand on the slightest of things. Anyone who knows me knows I have one quirky fear. That fear is getting a shot. Each year I do my annual check up, and I prepare myself on the car ride over to the doctor’s office for that one shot that I’m anticipating, which is used for taking my blood to run routine tests.
On this particular visit, the doctor noticed that it had been twelve years since I had my last tetanus shot. They don’t really want you to go more than ten years without this shot. The tetanus shot is used to protect you in case you are exposed to a high germ area, or something that can cause infection. When the doctor told me that I had to have this shot, I nearly fell off that table, because I remembered that the tetanus shot is a painful one and its effects linger days afterwards. Nonetheless, I acquiesced and got the shot.
All the way home, I couldn’t understand why in the world I needed to take this shot. Fast forward two weeks into the future, and I found myself in a highly germ infested area. As I quickly got out of there, the first thing that crossed my mind was that I was glad that I had gotten that tetanus shot. I was so grateful!
God’s Hand was in the slightest things in my life!
The Words that I use to remind me are, “For his eyes are on the ways of a man, and He sees all his steps.” Job 34:21 (ESV)
Please share this reflection with others as they also desire to be inspired.
So today, let’s be glad that God’s Hand is in the slightest things.
