This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I want to encourage you when God’s word says one thing and your current circumstances say another.
When the angel of the Lord appeared before Mary, he said, “Greetings, favored woman. The Lord is with you.” He also told her that she was going to bear a son, and he would be called Son of the Most High.
However, we also know that in her ninth month, she had to travel eighty to ninety miles from Nazareth to Bethlehem. Imagine a favored woman having to endure a hard trip like this in her ninth month of pregnancy.
We also know that there was no room at the inn for Mary and Joseph. Think about that. She was being obedient to God’s call, but there were no proper accommodations while she was on assignment for Him.
Jesus ended up being born in a stable with an animal trough, or manger, sufficing as his first crib. Of course, this does not seem like a place where the Son of the Most High would be born.
This is a perfect example of when God’s word says one thing, but our current circumstances say another. When you find yourself at a crossroads deciding whether to continue believing or to give into your current circumstances, always choose God’s word. Here’s why: His word is eternal; your circumstances are only temporary.
If you’re at a crossroads today, particularly with our current circumstances, remember these words: “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV)
