This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Joshua 1:9 (NLT)
Today, I am thinking about standing on God’s word—literally.
I would like to share with you all something that I did for my husband awhile ago. He had been thinking about going back to school for some time, but wasn’t able to bring himself to do it. It came to the point that every year, when it was time to apply, he just procrastinated until it was too late.
However, one year, he found the courage to tell everyone that he had always wanted to go to graduate school, and that he was finally going to do it.
I can remember the night before his first day of class, he was up late, packing. While he was busy, I took a pair of his shoes into the bathroom and taped little notes with scriptures on them to the inside of his shoes. It actually brought tears to both of our eyes when we read the scriptures and saw God’s will unfolding in my husband’s life.
Taping those scriptures into his shoes was my way of letting him know that God had prepared this moment for him, and that he was walking into that classroom, standing on God’s word and all of the promises that would come from his new degree.
Now, it is the Lent season, and I look for things to do that reset my spiritual button, and renew my relationship with God. The scripture that I put in his shoes did just that, so I’ll share it with you and myself today: “Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid…for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NLT)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, choose your scripture and stand on God’s word.

Thank you for sharing. I need to be reminded to be strong in the piwer of His might. Today Tiffany is having surgery on her leg due to an injury she sustained in a bus accident this past January. We’re believing God for total and complete healing. That those who He has assinged to prepare her for surgery, and those who will perform the surgery are anointed and obedient to do as God would have them to do. In Jesus Name, Amen!
