This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Proverbs 11:25 (ESV)
Today I thinking about the importance of being willing to go that extra mile for someone. Many times I feel immediate joy in going the extra mile for someone especially when I know they really need it.
But then there are those times when I struggle to go the extra mile for myself, much less someone. I can be exhausted, over-extended, or not really in the mood. But I have learned that it is on these occasions that we should push ourselves to go the extra mile.
Remember, God always knows when we are pushing our limits.
When I turn to the Scriptures, I think of the story of Rebekah. In this story, Abraham sent his servant to find a wife for Isaac, his son. The servant loaded up ten camels with all sorts of gifts for Isaac’s future wife. When the servant reached the town of his destination, he saw Rebekah at the well and asked her for a drink of water. Rebekah not only gave the man a drink of water, but drew water for all ten of his camels. We can only imagine the extent that Rebekah inconvenienced herself bringing up all that water.
The servant may not have known of Rebekah’s sacrifice that day but God knew. And in the end, Rebekah was asked to marry Isaac and would become a very blessed young woman.
The Words that I use to inspire me are, “Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.” Proverbs 11: 25 (ESV)
Please share this reflection with others as they also desire to be inspired.
So today, please God and go that extra mile for someone else.

Love this Suzette and right on time! I’m always super excited to go the extra mile for others, but today you encouraged me to go the extra mile for myself. Happy Holidays!

Yes, I love that perspective too. Sometimes we need to do just that – go that extra mile for ourselves so that we can be more fortified to do the same for another. As always, thanks for sharing. Love & Light, Suz

My dearest Sue Webb, my best friend for life, prayer warrior and true Christian woman! You epitomize what Christ requires of us “In going that extra mile.” It is in your soul! I need you to say an extra prayer for me for immediate miracles in my life to come into fruition. As you know, we put our trust in thee. One of my favorite scriptures in the book of Matthew. “Therefore do not be like them. For your father in heaven knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this manner, therefore pray: Our Father Hallowed be your name…for Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen!
