This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
Today, I am reminding myself that the grace of God is always covering me.
I had this thought the other day when I prayed about something and turned it over to God. However, ten minutes after I’d finished talking to God, I found myself walking through my house, still preoccupied with the situation I had supposedly turned over to God. It was as if I had not even prayed about it. I quickly realized that I had not actually turned it over to the Lord.
Yet, just a few days prior to my prayers, God had revealed himself to me. He went before me in a certain situation where I truly needed Him. Then, in another matter, He redirected my steps. Although I couldn’t connect all the dots in the moment, in hindsight it was clear that He had redirected my steps for a purpose.
Finally, in another instance, the moment I got quiet, God revealed to me the next step I needed to take in a difficult situation. So by this time, you would think that I would know for sure that the grace of God is always covering me, and that I would have gotten to the point of reminding others. Yet I still had doubts.
So today, join me. Together, let’s be conscious of our prayers and not worry about the same situations after turning them over to God. To do that, let us cling to these words: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, know that the grace of God is covering you.
