This is your B moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I am thinking about the need to hang in there, even when everything around you says you shouldn’t.
Sometimes, staying the course, or waiting on one of God’s promises to be fulfilled, can be difficult. Sometimes you may even believe that your faith looks silly to other people, so you might talk yourself into letting go of God’s promises.
However, what I have learned from my own personal experience is that it’s best to hang in there–even when everything around you says not to.
When I turn to the Scriptures, I look to Noah. I am sure that Noah must have looked quite silly to many during the time he was building an ark, especially on those days when there was not a cloud in the sky.
Yet, Noah clung to the task of building his ark. He remained steadfast in what God called him to do. He did it at the expense of perhaps looking silly to others, continuing even when everything around him told him to throw in the towel.
It was, of course, more important for Noah to look silly in the short term so that he could be known as a faithful servant of God in the long term.
Is there something that you feel as though you look silly about today? Do you feel as though your faith is being tested? If so, remember these words:
“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life…” James 1:12 (ESV)
