This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Galatians 6:9 (NIV)
Today, I am feeling like I need to hang in there, even when it doesn’t make sense. Staying the course, or waiting on one of God’s promises to be fulfilled can be difficult.
Things can become most challenging when our circumstances no longer make sense to us, or even when we might begin to look silly to others as we continue to cling to an unforeseen promise. Rather than endure all of this, we simply throw in the towel.
I have learned from my own personal experience that it’s best to hang in there, even when it doesn’t make sense.
When I turn to the Scriptures, I look to Noah. I’m sure Noah may have looked silly to many when he was building an ark on days when there was not a cloud in the sky, or rain pouring down.
Yet, what Noah knew for sure was that God had called him to the task of building this ark, so he remained steadfast. Noah may have been willing to look silly in the moment, to be known as a faithful servant of God in the long-term.
The Words that I use to inspire me are, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 (NIV)
Tomorrow, let’s talk about creating our own light. Please share this reflection, because others desire to be inspired.
So today, cling to God’s promises. If you look silly in the moment, you won’t in the long run.
