Scripture reference: Hebrews 11:6
Transcription:
In Mark 7, we encounter a Gentile mother desperate for her daughter’s healing. At first, when she asked Jesus to heal her daughter, he seemed non-committal. He told her that first, he should help his own family, the Jews, and that it’s not right to take food from the children and throw it to the dogs. Yet, she did not waver. Instead, she humbly replied, “Yes, Lord, but even the dogs…eat the children’s crumbs.” (Mark 7:28)
Jesus acknowledges her faith, saying, “For such a reply, you may go; the demon has left your daughter.” (Mark 7:29)
This woman’s faith was active, persistent, and humble. This kind of faith pleased Jesus and moved him to heal her daughter. She didn’t just believe; she acted on her belief. Let her example inspire you to approach your challenges with the same unwavering faith, knowing that such faith can lead to miraculous changes in your life.
As you reflect on that, remember these words – “And without faith it is impossible to please him…” Hebrews 11:6
