Scripture reference: 2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)
Transcription:
As springtime is here, I want you to let go of your past and usher in your new.
Jubilee is an ancient spiritual practice, and during the 50th year of Jubilee, all debts were forgiven; slaves and prisoners were set free, and any land taken due to an unpaid debt was released back to the original owner.
This 50th-year Jubilee was a time of genuine jubilation…it was a time for releasing oneself of one’s past and embracing the new season.
Another way to let go of those things that no longer serve you is by taking a more holistic approach to your spring cleaning.
As we store clutter in our closets, we can also store up clutter in our hearts and minds due to unforgiveness and old wounds from the past. Releasing past resentments, one by one, into God’s Hands is a surefire way to usher in the new.
As you think about that, remember these words: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
