Scripture reference: Romans 8:32
Transcription:
This Christmas Eve, I am reminded of the story of a man from East Texas who unknowingly lived above one of the largest undiscovered oil reserves in the world yet died in poverty. Though rich, he lived in lack because he was unaware of the wealth beneath him. It was a classic case of being rich but living poor.
In a similar way, we can overlook the true richness of Christ’s gift to us as we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season and lose sight of the depth of our wealth in Christ.
2 Corinthians 8:9 teaches us: “For you know the grace of…Christ,… though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.”
This Christmas Eve, remember that your richness is measured by the infinite love and grace Christ has for you.
As you reflect on that, remember these words: “He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also…give us all things.” Romans 8:32
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
