His Divine Guidance

Today I am reminding you that God is STILL guiding your every step.

We’re starting a new series entitled, “God’s Path.” Sometimes a situation arises that throws you off the path you were on – the path you thought you were supposed to be headed down. Day to day uncertainty is finally taking its toll, and it seems as though God is silent.

Today, be encouraged. Not only is He listening to you, He is guiding your every step.This is exactly how Jesus guided the Samaritan woman’s steps directly to Him.

When she went down to the well to draw water, Jesus greeted her and told her that if she drank the water from the well, she would eventually become thirsty again.  Yet, he had a living water that would allow her to never thirst again. Jesus ended up having a very beautiful conversation with this woman, revealing to her that he was the Messiah. 

Here’s the key. When this woman left her home that morning, her sole intention was to draw water from the well. That was it! She had no idea that her steps were being guided to an encounter with Christ.

So be comforted in the fact that while you may be on a new path or in a place of uncertainty, God is still guiding your every step. 

As you reflect on that, remember these words:

“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” Proverbs 16:9 (ESV).
