Scripture reference: John 8:12

One morning, I found myself feeling defeated. I knew better, yet I wasn’t doing better. I even suspected that God was displeased with me. But later that morning, the Holy Spirit guided me to the parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-24). Here was someone who had truly fallen short—squandering his inheritance and ending up as a pig farmer to survive.
Yet, when he came to his senses and returned home, his father wasn’t displeased with him; instead, he was overcome with joy. It seemed his father was not only forgetting the former things but was also doing a new thing in his life, as he ordered his servants to bring in the best robe, shoes, and even a ring for his finger – a far cry from the pig farmer he once was.
