Scripture reference: Romans 5:8 (ESV)

Even though you may know something, it’s good to remind yourself occasionally of what really matters. For example, you know God’s love for you is not fickle. But sometimes, when you just made a poor choice or you promised yourself you would act the next time differently, and you didn’t – it’s good to remember that God’s love for you is unchanging.
This reminds me of Peter’s life. Jesus asked the disciples who they said he was. Peter said that Jesus was the Messiah, the son of the living God. Jesus told Peter he was blessed because only his heavenly Father could have revealed that to him.
Here’s the takeaway – of all the disciples present that day, God chose to reveal this to Peter even when he knew Peter would later deny Him.
Let’s appreciate that God’s love and grace are sufficient to endure despite our actions. As you think, remember these words: “But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 (ESV)
