This is your B moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I am reminding you about the power of your small acts of kindness.
Recently we talked about the impact of small gifts, and small or random acts of kindness can be just as impactful. Recall those times when you did something for someone else just from the kindness of your heart. You didn’t overthink it; you didn’t call others to tell them what you were about to do; you just acted with kindness in that moment.
I recall earlier in the year when a DJ hosted a spontaneous virtual dance party for those who are quarantined due to the coronavirus. While in his kitchen, it dawned on him that he could bring a little joy to those feeling isolated, so without a second thought, he hosted a nine-hour party just for them. This DJ said that he has been in the music business for more than thirty years, yet nothing has felt more gratifying to him.
I recall another story out of Collinsville, Ohio involving six- and nine-year-old siblings. This young boy and girl held an impromptu cello concert for their 78-year-old neighbor as she rocked in her chair on her front porch. Keeping a safe distance from her, they sat on the opposite side of the porch and played their little hearts out. They even dressed up in their Sunday best for her.
It is when you are kind just for the sake of being kind that God will surprise you and bless you abundantly. How is God inspiring you today? What creative steps can you take to extend kindness to someone else? As you think about that, remember these words: “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others, will be refreshed.” Proverbs 11:25 (NIV)
