This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I want you to trust God, even when you feel exposed.
It is likely that in every aspect of your life—your health, family, career, and finances—you trust God’s hand over your fears. If you were to experience strife in any one of these areas, you would look to God and only God for deliverance. That being said, that doesn’t mean that you don’t sometimes feel exposed while trusting God.
This is precisely what the Israelites must have felt some three thousand years ago. During this time, the ultimate military weapons were the chariot and the horse. Armies that were equipped with a chariot brigade were seen as invincible.
However, Israel was to be different. God’s law forbade Israel’s king from multiplying horses. Instead of the Israelites putting their faith and trust in strategic arms, God wanted them to put their faith and trust in His everlasting arms.
Because the stakes were life and death, I’m sure the Israelites felt exposed and were tempted to trust in things other than God. Yet King David got it right. Even though he may have felt exposed on that battlefield, he still trusted in God and only God to deliver him. In the end, David was victorious in battle after battle.
If you’re trusting God but still feel exposed, stay the course of trusting only Him and you will be victorious. As you reflect on that, hold onto these words: “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.” Jeremiah 17:7 (ESV)
