This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I want to inspire you that when you have mastered where you are, it is likely time for a change.
Recently we talked about how Jesus healed the blind beggar Bartimaeus. One could safely assume Bartimaeus had been a beggar most of his life. First, he had a prime location on the roadside for begging. Many travelers who were making their pilgrimage to Jerusalem would cross his path. Since these people were making their pilgrimage, it is also very likely that they were willing to give.
Second, Bartimaeus also wore a cloak to ensure he was easily recognized as a beggar and a blind man. It is safe to say that Bartimaeus had mastered his way of living; he had gotten it down to a science. He knew how to beg and how to beg well.
Yet when Jesus called out to him, he threw off his cloak and ran toward him. Once Jesus healed Bartimaeus, he left his prime location on that roadside and followed Christ. Instinctively, he knew that it was time to embrace something new and to leave behind those things he had once mastered.
Today I ask you, what have you mastered in your life? What have you gotten down to a science, and the only thing holding you back is fear? This is the place where change is imminent in your life. As you think about that, remember these words: “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1 (ESV)
