Scripture reference: 2 Corinthians 5:17

Transcription:

On this first day of Lent, I wanted to share that, spiritually, I am in a different place today. Years ago, when I first started abstaining from things during Lent, I’d give up one or two things like sweets and wine.  From there, I embraced the Daniel Fast while also fasting from those things that separate me from Christ, such as worry, doubt, and anxiety.

Today, I am going even deeper, which means addressing things at my core. For most of my life, I moved at a relentless pace, constantly staying busy to avoid feeling pain from my past. This constant movement kept me distracted and continually striving to be acceptable and worthy.

Today, I am shedding all of that. I am a new creation in Christ Jesus, recognizing that His power is at work within me. Will you join me today to go deeper?

As you think about that, remember these words: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

So today, release the old.
