Scripture reference: Psalm 63:6-7
Transcription:
In Biblical times, the night was divided into three periods or “watches of the night” for soldiers and shepherds: sunset to 10 p.m., 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., and 2 a.m. to dawn. Just as shepherds watched over their flocks during these times, Christ, our Shepherd, watches over us through all the watches of the night.
No matter the hour, His presence reminds us that we are never alone, even in our most restless moments.
When you’re tossing and turning, unable to find peace, remember that Christ is there, watching and listening. Instead of reaching for your TV remote control, talk to Him.
In those still moments of the night, let your heart be filled with the assurance that Christ, your Shepherd, is always ready to listen and provide the peace you seek.
As you reflect on that, remember these words – “…I…meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. Psalm 63:6-7
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
