Scripture reference: Proverbs 19:21
Transcription:
While Paul and Barnabas were traveling on their first mission trip, one of the other missionaries, John Mark, abruptly decided to leave. As they were planning their second mission trip, John Mark decided he wanted to rejoin the group, and Paul was dead set against it. Barnabas disagreed with Paul, so they decided to part ways.
Without Barnabas, Paul was very concerned about the mission losing momentum because he couldn’t see how to cover all the territory alone.
However, when Barnabas left, God sent Silas and Timothy to Paul. Together, the new group gained momentum by covering over 3,000 miles of territory, spreading God’s word.
The next time you experience one adverse event and think it’s a prelude to things only worsening, remember that nothing can stop a show that God wants to go on.
As you think about that, remember these words: “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” Proverbs 19:21 (ESV).
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
