Scripture reference: Psalm 27:1 (ESV)
Transcription:
Here are two different perspectives on power and why we have every reason to feel hopeful this Palm Sunday.
The first perspective is about power over this world. When Pilate took Jesus aside and asked him where he was from, and Jesus didn’t respond, Pilate threatened Jesus by telling him that he had the power to either release or crucify him.
Jesus replied, “You have no power over me at all, unless it were given to you from above.”
Pilate believed that if he released Jesus, he would no longer be considered a friend of Caesar; he was obviously confused about who had the ultimate power.
The second perspective is about the power of Christ within you. No matter how you scold yourself over this weakness or that shortcoming, “…God’s grace is sufficient for you…His power is made perfect in your weakness.” (2 Cor. 12:9-10).
As you think about that, remember these words: “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” Psalm 27:1 (ESV)
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
