This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Matthew 6:33 (NLT)
Today, I am thinking about how God responds when we trust in Him completely.
Recently, I was reading about how the Israelites were instructed to observe the Sabbath. We are probably fairly familiar with the idea of the Sabbath day–the seventh day where no work is done. However, the Israelites, during these days, were also expected to recognize the Sabbath of the seventh year.
In the seventh year, they were not allowed to farm their land, and had to let it rest instead. The Israelites simply had to trust that God would provide for them for an entire year.
This is incredibly important because farming the land was how the Israelites ate from day to day, as well as how they provided for their families. The Israelites had to walk by their land every day for an entire year and resist the urge to farm it, putting their faith in God to provide.
God responded to that faith by allowing the land to produce two to three times more in that seventh year than it did any of the years when the land was actually farmed.
So today, think about the things that we need to turn over to God’s control. Instead of working hard to control everything, we can trust in God to lead us through our lives in a better manner than we could ever imagine ourselves.
The words I use to remind me of this are, “And He will give you all you need from day to day if you live for Him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.” Matthew 6:33 (NLT)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, quite simply, trust in Him completely.

Thanks! As an independent woman, it is SO VERY HARD to trust and allow. AND I will keep reminding myself that is all God wants me to do because SHE has it All!
