This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Psalm 77:11 (ESV)
Today, I am thinking about what we do in between God’s miracles.
When I pondered this question, I came to the conclusion that we must remember what He did for us before, because He can and will do it again.
Recently, I was talking about how God performed an amazing miracle with the Israelites as they appeared trapped between the wilderness and the Red Sea. However, even after He parted the sea and created a dry path for the Israelites to cross on, they immediately became preoccupied with what they were going to eat and drink when they got to the other side.
Although they didn’t necessarily panic like they did when Pharaoh was charging toward them, but they definitely began to fret. I think that is common. When God delivers one blessing and we’re waiting on Him to answer the next, we experience a sense of anxiety.
The way that I have calmed myself while I’m waiting on God to answer is by reflecting on what He has already done. In other words, go back to one of those times when the circumstances seemed impossible, but God saw you through to the other side.
When you savor that idea and bring that into what you’re currently praying about, you will realize that He will deliver. Let us cling to these words: “I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old.” Psalm 77:11 (ESV)
Please share this reflection as others desire to be inspired.
So today, remember that what He did before, He can and will do again.
