This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Happy Easter Sunday!
Today I am reminding you of an instruction from Christ. He said, “Remember me.” He gave us this instruction because as humans we tend to quickly forget.
For example, remember the exchange Jesus had with the Samaritan woman at the well? Once she learned about his living water, she forgot all about her drinking water. In contrast, we sometimes forget about his living water—that source that if we remember and partake in we will never thirst again.
Another example of how quickly we can forget is when Jesus fed 5,000 people in the wilderness. The disciples said to Jesus, “Let’s send the people back to the villages to buy food before it gets too late.” Jesus told them that it wasn’t necessary, then multiplied five loaves of bread and two fish so there was enough for everyone to eat.
Shortly thereafter, a similar situation occurred. This time, it involved feeding 4,000 people in the desert. Instead of remembering how Christ just fed 5,000, the disciples said, “Where would we get enough food out here in the wilderness for everyone?” My initial thought was, “How quickly we forget!”
As you lift up your prayers to God, have you too forgotten about the masterful ways he provided for you before and will again? This Easter Sunday, let us remember and rejoice as we cling to these words: “I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old.” Psalm 77:11 (ESV)
