Many of us reach the brink of change but hesitate, fearing the unknown. It’s easier to cling to familiar comfort—even when we sense God calling us toward more. Sometimes, what holds us back isn’t doubt in God, but fear of losing what we’ve already built.
Gideon knew this struggle well. He had a place among his family, a quiet, unthreatening role that kept him loved but small. But God had something greater in store. When He called Gideon to defeat the Midianites, the battle wasn’t just external—it was internal. Gideon had to leave behind the safety of his old identity to step into victory.
Sometimes, following God means leaving behind the familiar and stepping into something bigger. But here’s the thing—it’s not just about taking a leap; it’s about stepping onto your divine path, the one He’s been leading you toward all along.
And as you think about that, remember these words: “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Psalm 27:1
