For all my Dad B Moment listeners out there—today, we honor you. Happy Father’s Day!

Fatherhood is a journey of strength, sacrifice, and undeniable love. But it’s also a path of imperfections, learning, and redemption. When I think about fathers from a scriptural perspective, I’m drawn to Abraham—whom God ordained as the father of many nations. His legacy wasn’t shaped by perfection, but by faith and the grace that covered his flaws.

Abraham’s unwavering faith led him to leave his homeland without knowing where he was going—he only knew God was ordering his steps. He demonstrated obedience in preparing to sacrifice Isaac, trusting God beyond what made sense. But Abraham wasn’t without fault—he disobeyed, strayed, and made decisions driven by fear rather than trust.

And yet, God never withdrew His promise. Instead, He blessed Abraham, securing his legacy.

Sometimes, we need to apply this same lens to our own fathers. For some of us, our dads could do no wrong—we saw them as larger-than-life figures. For others, like me, we didn’t see our fathers at all. But on this day, let’s transcend the gaps and embrace the challenge of seeing our fathers as God sees them—not by their outward actions alone, but by the depths of their hearts.

As you reflect on that, remember these words: “For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
