Scripture reference: Hebrews 11:6 (ESV)
Transcription:
When I think about someone short on having answers, I reflect on Job’s story. Job was a man of great character and wealth and always turned away from evil. Yet one day, Satan told God that Job was only faithful because God had blessed him with so much.
God told Satan that he could take everything away from Job, but he couldn’t touch his life.
Looking at this passage further, it’s clear Job was unaware of the conversation between God and Satan and why he was being tested in the first place. Job was short on answers, to say the least.
How do you respond when your questions outnumber your answers? Job lacked answers but remained faithful, and God restored everything for him even better than before.
As you think about that, remember these words: “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 (ESV)
