Scripture reference: Hebrews 11:1
Transcription:
Today, I encourage you to praise God, even when you don’t yet see His promises fulfilled. The Hebrew word for praise, towdah, reminds us to thank God for blessings not yet received—a practice the prophet Elijah lived out faithfully.
During a severe drought, Elijah never doubted that God would send rain, even when the sky showed no sign of it. He asked his servant to look toward the sea, and each time the servant returned, saying there was nothing. Finally, on the seventh attempt, the servant reported a tiny cloud. For Elijah, this was enough. Soon, the heavens opened, and the mighty rainstorm he’d praised God for came to pass.
Are you holding back your praise because you haven’t seen enough yet? If so, take a moment to intentionally move beyond that place and let faith guide your heart. And, as you do so, hold onto these words:
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
