Today, let us focus on standing in our truth.
Recently, I had the pleasure of listening to a candidate make a presentation as to why she should be elected to a prominent local school council. Also presenting that night were several very impressive candidates with advanced degrees and fantastic resumes.
Unshaken, this parent stepped forward knowing that she didn’t have the credentials of the other parents, yet standing strong in her deep passion to serve the students.
She lit the room up. Standing in her truth, she refused to shrink in their presence.
When the votes were tallied, this mom, who stood in her own light, was elected unanimously.
Let us choose to shine our light while clinging to these words: “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.” Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)
