This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I am encouraging you to identify your personal sanctuary if you don’t already have one.
We are finally approaching summer, and this is the time of the year when we can be most thrown off our routine. We may miss our Sunday worship service or our weekly Bible study meeting. This is when we need to have a private place where we can worship, whether this is in the comforts of our own home or off somewhere on vacation.
When I turn to the Scriptures, I’m reminded of the exchange between Jesus and the Samaritan woman. Initially, the woman thought Jesus was a prophet, so she began to ask him questions. One of the questions she asked was why the Jews insisted that Jerusalem was the only place to worship, while the Samaritans claimed the only place to worship was Mount Gerizim, where their ancestors had worshiped.
Jesus explained to her that a time was coming when it would no longer matter where one worshiped because true believers worship the Father in truth and in spirit, wherever they are. If your schedule is all over the place this summer, identify your personal sanctuary and continue to worship God in truth and in spirit.
As you reflect on that, remember these words: “But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” Matthew 6:6 (ESV)
Share today’s message and watch me on the Blues to Blessings channel today where I show you my personal sanctuary.
So today, identify yours.
