There are seasons when the dream you’ve prayed over still looks painfully dormant. You’ve watered it with faith, tended it with obedience, and waited with expectation — yet nothing seems to break through the surface. And when that happens, your heart can give way. Frustration and discouragement creep in. Sometimes even anger whispers, “Why isn’t anything happening?”
But just because you can’t see movement doesn’t mean God isn’t working.
Like those Texas blooms hidden beneath dry ground, some of the most beautiful things in your life are forming where your eyes cannot reach. The conditions may not look right yet. The timing may feel off. But beneath the surface, God is nurturing what He planted in you.
This is why guarding your heart matters. Your heart determines whether you keep tending the dream… or walk away too soon.
As you reflect on this, remember these words: “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” Proverbs 4:23 (NLT)
