Today I am encouraging you if you feel the need to regroup.
Recently I shared that I lost my grandmother, who meant the world to me. Since her passing, I have been grieving. I’ve had those moments when so much has felt out of balance.
When I turn to the Scriptures, I think about the loss of King Uzziah. He was one of the most beloved leaders of all time in Judah. Because he served for almost fifty years, he was the only leader that many of Judah’s citizens had ever known. So, they were very concerned about their futures and what life would be like without King Uzziah.
I think the same can be true for us in our family lives. When we lose a parent or spouse or sibling, they are the only parent or spouse or sibling that we’ve ever known, so we worry about what the new dynamic will be and how we will adjust to what the future holds.
God understood what the people of Judah were feeling, so He reminded Isaiah to let them know that He would be the one to take care of their needs. In the same way, He knows what you are feeling today and what I am feeling today, and He will take care of us too.
