The Part of Faith We Rarely Talk About

Scripture references: Lamentations 3:22 (ESV)

There’s something sacred about beginning again — a new year, a new project, a new dream. In those moments, we often tell God, “I’ll work hard. I’ll use the gifts You gave me. I won’t be careless with what You’ve entrusted to me.” And while that desire is good, I’m learning that acknowledging God’s involvement is not the same as depending on Him.

From childhood, we’re taught to stand on our own two feet. Independence is praised. Dependence is questioned. But with God, it’s reversed. God invites us — gently, consistently — to lean on Him, not as a last resort but as a daily rhythm. Like manna in the wilderness, dependence keeps us close, keeps us listening, keeps us aware of His steady hand.

And the more we depend on Him, the deeper our relationship grows. Not weaker. Stronger.

As you sense God inviting you to depend on Him more, hear these words — “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end.” Lamentations 3:22 (ESV)

This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
