The You God Saw All Along

Scripture references: 2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)

There are moments in life you wish you could erase — choices you regret, and seasons you’d rather forget. But God doesn’t lose sight of who you’re becoming, even in the chapters you’d rather skip.

Peter’s story makes this so clear. Jesus knew Peter would stumble in ways that felt disqualifying, like denying Him and cutting off a man’s ear. And still…before any of these events even happened, Jesus spoke to Peter’s future self:  “Follow me, and I will make you become a fisher of men.” (Mark 1:17) He knew Peter would one day feed His lambs and tend His sheep.

Your missteps don’t cancel your calling. God sees the you that’s emerging — and if you don’t see it yet, turn toward Him. Ask Him to show you the vision He’s been holding of you all along.

As you reflect on this, remember these words: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation…The old has passed away…the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)

This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
