Scripture reference: Isaiah 60:1
Transcription:
The unspoken sentiment—“They not like us”—has echoed through generations, shaping identities, dividing communities, and reinforcing injustice.
On June 19, 1865, that lie lost ground. Juneteenth marks the day that all enslaved people in the United States were finally declared free.
But long before that proclamation, division had roots—across nations, cultures, and even within faith communities. Jesus Himself was underestimated by those in His hometown and dismissed by the religious elite. Their sentiment was also — “He’s not like us.”
But what happens when we shift our perspective toward the unifying power of God’s truth?
This Juneteenth, as we celebrate freedom long delayed, remember this: God sees no divisions. His glory rises on every life willing to shine.
You were never meant to fit into someone else’s definition of worth—you were created in the image of the One who makes all things new.
As you think about that, hold onto these words that break through any darkness: “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.” Isaiah 60:1
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
