Scripture reference: Jeremiah 17:7-8

When your prayers seem to go unanswered, it can feel challenging and disheartening. However, there are steps you can take to find peace and trust in God’s plan.
- Trust God’s Silence: Remember, God’s silence often precedes His most miraculous works. Think of the story of Lazarus. Jesus delayed His visit, and Lazarus died. Yet, this delay led to a greater miracle—Lazarus being raised from the dead. Today, you only know what you know. The way God will show up for you may not even be on your radar. So, trust that God is preparing something extraordinary for you in His silence.
- Rejoice: Even when you see no evidence that your prayer is being answered, rejoice. Habakkuk 3:17 reminds us to rejoice in the Lord, even when circumstances seem bleak. Trust that God works beyond your understanding, orchestrating events for your ultimate good.
- Release It: Genuinely releasing your concerns to God means moving from preoccupation to peace. Isaiah 26:3 promises perfect peace to those who trust in God. Reflect on those moments when you thought you had let go, only to find yourself worrying again shortly after. Genuine release brings a deep, abiding peace that frees your mind from constant worry.
Embrace these steps, and find comfort in knowing God hears every prayer and is always at work, even when you can’t see it.
As you reflect on that, remember these words: “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8
