This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
Scripture reference: Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)
Today, I am asking myself the question – “Do I use my time wisely, while I wait on God?” I often talk about standing on God’s Promises while waiting on a new door to open, or to embark upon a new season in my life.
When this happens, sometimes I can stop pouring my energy into other things, because I’m waiting for this one big thing to happen. My focus and energy become centered around this next defining moment in my life. However, lately, what I’ve been noticing is that I’m not treasuring those moments in between as much.
When I turn to the Scriptures, I reflect on how David spent his time. David was a master at using his time constructively while he waited on God to do great things in his life.
While we know David to be a warrior-like king, he was also a very gifted harp player. David was also a good dancer. He spent time honing his archery skills. He even found time to strengthen his relationships among his family and friends.
David teaches us how to treasure all the moments. Whether they are the defining moments in our lives, or the little moments leading up to the defining moments.
The Words that remind me of this are, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)
Tomorrow, let’s talk about God’s Will. Please share this reflection, because others desire to be inspired.
So today, maybe you’ve been putting off taking a class, or learning something new. Remember, spend those little moments wisely until they become another defining moment in your life.
