Scripture reference: Proverbs 4:23

This Labor Day weekend, I am feeling the holiday spirit, ready to savor what might be the last big barbecue of the summer. Indulging in delicious dishes brings joy, yet I am also mindful of not overindulging. It’s easy to worry about the impact of unhealthy foods on our bodies, but let’s take comfort in Jesus’ words in Mark 7:15: It’s not what goes into your body that defiles you; you are defiled by what comes from your heart.”
This reminder encourages us to focus on our words and actions rather than being overly concerned about what we eat this holiday. As we gather with loved ones, let’s strive to speak kindly, show love, and act gracefully.
So, this Labor Day, let’s celebrate knowing that our worth is not determined by our diet but by the love and goodness we share with others.
As you reflect on that, remember these words – “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
