What Has God Called You to Do?

This is our B moment. Our moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today, I am in celebration mode as we mark the third year anniversary of B Moments.

The first thing I want to say is: praise God. We made it another 365 days of sharing God’s word. I could not be more grateful or feel more purposeful because I know that my life is aligned with what God has called me to do.

So today, that’s what I want to put on your heart. What has God called you to do? You may not have all the answers or have a detailed plan, but you know that He has put something on your heart and it has not gone away yet.

Sometimes, God gives you and only you an idea. Yet if doubt and fear creep in, it is likely you will fail to respond. So to play matters safe, you may attempt to mimic someone else’s idea or style. But I’ve already tried that approach and trust me, it doesn’t work.

Yet here we are three years later, celebrating B Moments—an original idea given to me by God that was started on my cell phone in my bedroom.

When I turn to the Scriptures, I think about how Gideon’s story started. Recall that when God sent an angel to tell Gideon that he would be the one who would save the Israelites from the Midianites, he was hiding below ground from the Midianites.

Are you hiding from God’s call today? If so, I would encourage you to listen to your heart, put your hand in His hand, and go for it. For inspiration, remember these words: “But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus…” Acts 20:24 (NLT)
