Scripture reference: Proverbs 4:23
Transcription:
Many of us will gather with friends and family this Memorial Day weekend, reflecting on the sacrifices of those who came before us while enjoying the warmth of fellowship and good food.
It’s easy to worry about overindulging—the extra dessert, the second helping—but Jesus reminds us in Mark 7:15: “It’s not what goes into your body that defiles you; you are defiled by what comes from your heart.”
This weekend, let’s focus not on restriction, but on the abundance of grace we extend to others. Let’s be mindful of the words we speak, the kindness we show, and the love we share.
Because what truly defiles us is not what we consume, but what we pour into the lives of others. So this holiday weekend, celebrate freely—with gratitude, grace, and goodness.
As you reflect on that, remember these words: “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
