There are moments in your walk with God when you begin to sense a quiet shift in who you are becoming. It happens when you start prioritizing Him. And in those moments, God begins to lift your purpose to a trajectory you never would have imagined on your own.
This is precisely what happened to Peter. He had just experienced the greatest catch of his life — the kind of success any fisherman would have called a career-defining moment. But Jesus saw more. He wasn’t trying to give Peter a better fishing story; He was trying to give him a higher calling. “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19)
That’s what God does when you put Him first. And as you follow Him, expect Him to lift your purpose higher than you ever imagined.
As you reflect on this, remember these words: “For I know the plans I have for you…plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
