There are moments when you can feel God nudging you to step toward something He’s placed on your heart — yet you look at your circumstances and whisper, “Lord, I want to obey… but with what?” You’re convinced you lack the resources…like trying to squeeze blood from a turnip.
I imagine the disciples felt the same when Jesus told them, “Give them something to eat.” (Luke 9:13) Five thousand hungry people. No plan. No supplies. No visible way forward. But Jesus was inviting them to trust the power that was already at work within them.
As a follower of Christ, you carry the Holy Spirit — God’s own presence and power in your inner being. When you take even one small step of faith, something ignites within you. You stop acting in your own strength and start moving in His.
As you reflect on this, remember these words: “Now to him who is able to do far more…than…we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.” Ephesians 3:20 (ESV)
