This is your B moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I want you to know that even when you are faithless, God remains faithful.
Earlier on in my spiritual walk, my faith would take a dip (or at least vacillate back and forth) when it seemed as though God was not answering my prayers. Quite honestly, it felt like I was being ignored. With my limited view back then, I used to think maybe He was ignoring me because I wasn’t doing enough to serve Him.
Over the years I have come to learn two key things. One: when I am faithless, God remains faithful. Two: when it seems as though God isn’t answering, that is when He is busy at work. In fact, I have since come to learn that when things seem silent, God is busy orchestrating things behind the scenes.
This was surely the lesson the Israelites had to learn. Balak, the king of Moab, was desperately trying to save himself and his people, so he hired Balaam to curse Israel. However, God had a different plan. He actually used Balaam to bless the Israelites rather than to harm them.
One of the key points of this story is that the Israelites were not in the best standing with God when He chose to deliver them from harm. In fact, their faith during these times was pretty weak. Yet He still remained faithful by working behind the scenes on their behalf.
As you think about where your own faith stands today, remember these words: “If we are faithless, He remains faithful–for he cannot deny himself.” 2 Timothy 2:13 (ESV)
