Your Due Date

 Scripture reference: Isaiah 60:22 (NLT)

Transcription:

As a mom, I know what it’s like to be pregnant with a child and to be given a due date by my doctor. I also know what it’s like to be pregnant with possibility…with a vision, and to operate from day to day without knowing when my efforts will bear fruit.  Sometimes, all you have is the vision God gave you or the words he spoke to you. 

I imagine this is how Abraham felt when God told him that Sarah would bear his son. After several years, Abraham didn’t feel God’s promise of a child would come to pass, which caused him to lose faith in what was to come. 

This same thing can happen to you. Your faith can weaken when things don’t unfold according to your expected timeline.

In the same way God fulfilled His word to Abraham, He will fulfill His promise to you. As you reflect on that, remember these words: “At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” Isaiah 60:22 (NLT)
