This is your B moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

Today I am reminding you that God will always meet your needs.
Recently we talked about how you can always find God at the center of your struggle. Sometimes when you’re grappling with uncertainty and you’re just praying your way through day by day, you appreciate hearing a good story that reminds you that God is with you, that He hears your every word, and that He will meet your needs.
Several years ago there was a pastor and an assistant pastor who were organizing a new church. On the day of their first meeting, they learned that extra people would be attending, so they were short tables and chairs. The pastor said, “We can’t appear unprepared for our very first meeting!”
The assistant pastor said, “Don’t worry. You continue to work on your message for the evening, and I will locate the extra tables and chairs.” The pastor said, “Sounds like a plan to me, but let’s have a quick prayer before you go.” I think their prayer was simply, “God, please send us extra tables and chairs!”
The assistant pastor stopped at his house first, and as he pulled into his driveway, he noticed a U-Haul truck parked next door. The sliding door on the truck was up, and there were several tables and chairs inside. He couldn’t believe it!
He knocked on the door and asked the man if he’d be willing to rent the tables and chairs to him. The man not only offered the tables and chairs for free, but he also rode with him to help set up for the evening.
This little story underscores how God never misses. He hears your every word, and He will supply your every need—even when it’s just tables and chairs. As you remember that, remember these words too: “Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” Matthew 6:8 (ESV)
