Scripture reference: Ephesians 2:10

This week, the first presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will occur, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Since Joe Biden’s last debate ended up being his last, many pundits see this first debate between Harris and Trump as the most pivotal moment in the remaining two months of the race.
The question likely on most viewers’ minds is which candidate will prevail in meeting one of the most pivotal moments in American politics.
Have you ever questioned your readiness to meet a pivotal moment successfully? Maybe it’s pursuing a different career path, stepping into a leadership role, or feeling called to a specific ministry or spiritual path that feels inspiring and intimidating.
If you fear whether you are genuinely equipped to meet your next pivotal moment, take comfort in these (3) three ways God takes extra care to prepare you for His will and purpose:
- God is a gentle teacher: In Matthew 11:29, Jesus says, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart…” God gives you chance after chance…after chance to draw near to Him and follow His teachings. He understands your struggles and gently guides you, allowing you to grow at your own pace.
- God prepares you when it doesn’t count: Life is filled with “practice tests” where the stakes are low, and the focus is on learning and growth. These moments are opportunities to develop your skills, character, and faith. Each experience, big or small, is a stepping stone towards your pivotal moments. Embrace these times as they shape you into the person you are meant to be.
- God allows you to endure difficult experiences: Sometimes, the path to your pivotal moments is paved with challenges. These difficult experiences are necessary to prepare you for what lies ahead; they build resilience, strength, and wisdom.
Trust that God’s Hand is always on your life, guiding and equipping you to meet those pivotal moments He has already orchestrated.
As you reflect on that, remember these words – “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.
